Day 1: Libreville
Arriving in Libreville International Aiport and directly transfering to the hotel.In the afternoon, having a city tour.
Day 2: Libreville-Lambaréné-Tsam Tsam
In the early morning taking the breakfast at the hotel, then travelling by car from Libreville to Lambaréné (3 hours). When arriving in Lambaréné, taking a short visit of the Historical Zone of Lambaréné (Dr. Schweitzer in 1925), then travelling to Tsam Tsam Camp by boat. Arriving in Tsam Tsamlate in the afternoon, trasfering to your accomodation spaces and discussing about your activities for the following day.
Day 3: Tsam Tsam Village
Taking the Boat tour of the Ogooué and chain of lakes to Lake Oguemoué, visiting Tsam Tsam village and in the afternoon taking a shor hike.
Day 4: OELO's Sustainable Fishing Program
In the early morning, hiking to savanna in Tsam Tsam Camp. Taking a Tour in traditional pirogues around the lake. Fishing village tour to learn about OELO’s sustainable fishing program. Night boat safari (weather permitting).
Day 5-Day 6: Volunteer program
Taking o park of Environmental Education and Our Lake, Our Future: Sustainable Fishing Initiative.
- Environmental Education: OELO organizes environmental education programs in 14 primary and secondary schools in the Lambaréné region, and sponsors stewardship projects with student-led nature clubs.
- Our Lake, Our Future: Sustainable Fishing Initiative: In partnership with The Nature Conservancy, OELO has launched a sustainable fishing initiative in nine villages on Lake Oguemoué. Residents of Lake Oguemoué rely on fishing as a livelihood, but as fish become scarcer, fishing methods are changing.
Day 7: Tsam Tsam-Lambaréné-Libreville-Nyonié
Travelling back to Libreville, Arriving in Libreville, then traveling to Nyonié Camp by boat (45 min). At Nyonié Camp, in the afternoon 4x4 safari to tack animals such as elephants. At night around 11pm, going out to the sea to see if Turtleshave come to lay eggs.
Day 8: Nyonié-Libreville
In the very early morning around 5 pm, hiking in the forest to tack animals. In the afternoon, Travelling back to Libreville, then transfering to Libreville International Airport and taking you international plan back home.
